On saturday 14 January 2012 the Costa Concordia ran aground and capsized near the Italian island of Giglio. Although the number of casualties is not clear yet, this disaster comes nowhere near the most famous naval disaster, exactly 100 years ago, when the Titanic struck an iceberg.
