Alcohol. Love it, hate it, drink it. Beer normally contains 4 – 6% abv (alcohol by volume). The alcohol content of most wines varies between 12% and 14,5%. Fortified wines are ‘fortified’ by adding distilled spirit up to levels of about 20% abv. Stronger drinks, such as whisky, gin, rum, wodka, many liquors are distilled after fermentation to increase the alcohol content, ranging from 30% to more than 90%. But which liquor is the strongest?
